OTP 2020 Hub - Leeds City Museum, Leeds
For the second time Leeds has been confirmed as a hub city for OUTing the Past and to say that we are looking forward to hosting OTP 2209 at Leeds City Museum is an understatement.
Leeds Museums and Galleries operates nine sites across our city, ranging from medieval abbeys to historic houses, community museums and one of the best British Art collections outside London at Leeds Art Gallery.
Leeds City Museum, the host venue, covers four floors exploring the natural world, ancient history and Leeds in all its diversity.
Hosting OTP 2020, as well as being great news for Leeds, will fit right in with our past and ongoing work with LGBT+ communities, culture and heritage. This has ranged from events like the PoMoGaze festival at Leeds Art Gallery in 2014 and the Leeds Queer Stories displays at Leeds City Museum in 2015/2016, to regular annual events for LGBT+ History Month.
Over the coming months, we will be working enthusiastically to ensure that OTP 2020 in Leeds will be exciting, memorable and a great foundation for future work celebrating LGBT+ history.
